Masonry and hardscape construction built to survive New England winters. Engineered bases, expert crews, and materials from Nicolock and Techo-Bloc — because a patio is an investment, not a weekend decoration.
Every build starts with engineered base prep — a compacted 8–12" gravel foundation with proper drainage and geogrid where slopes demand it. Beautiful work fails without it; that's where contractors cut corners and we don't.
The heart of an outdoor room — Nicolock, Techo-Bloc, travertine, bluestone or flagstone. Polymeric sand joints rated for freeze-thaw and power-washing.
Engineered block systems or stacked stone. Geogrid-reinforced for walls over 4 ft. Integrated seating, lighting and caps for finished edges.
Custom masonry counters and island builds, gas and plumbing trenched on the same visit. Grill, side burner, fridge, sink — fully integrated.
Wood-burning or gas. Custom stone-veneer fireplaces with flue and smoke shelf. Round, square, or linear firepit designs with gas logs.
Heavy-duty paver systems with reinforced base for vehicle loads. Permitted where required. Integrated heating systems available for snow-melt.
Front entrance reveals. Bluestone treads, flagstone walks, and natural stone veneer on foundations and facades.
We only install what we trust. Nicolock and Techo-Bloc are our primary paver lines — both offer lifetime structural warranties and come with Paver-Shield™ and Permashield™ protective coatings that resist stains and efflorescence.
Every hardscape project is quoted line-item and priced to your site — no two builds are the same. Below is what each tier includes; your free written quote spells out materials, timeline, and a fixed price with no surprises.
Most residential patios take 3–10 working days onsite, weather permitting. Larger outdoor living builds run 2–4 weeks. Here's what happens before, during, and after.
We measure, photograph, and listen. You get a written scope within 3 days — materials, timeline, and fixed price.
For larger builds, a drawn plan. Material samples delivered to your driveway — pick colors in natural light.
Existing surface removed. 8–12" of gravel base, compacted in lifts. Drainage and geogrid installed where specified.

The questions we get at almost every site visit. Have one that isn't here? Call us at (860) 841-2290 — we answer the phone.
Properly installed on a compacted base with polymeric sand, 30+ years. The failure mode is almost always base preparation — which is why we over-engineer ours.
Walls over 4 feet and any structure connected to the house typically require one. We handle permits and inspections as part of the build — no homework for you.
Pavers every time. Concrete cracks with freeze-thaw cycles in CT; pavers flex independently. Replacing a single damaged paver takes 20 minutes; concrete repairs show forever.
Usually yes — Nicolock and Techo-Bloc keep color runs available for years. If a line is discontinued, we can blend a compatible color or do a complementary accent.
Every patio is pitched at minimum 1/8" per foot away from structures. We add catch basins, French drains, or channel drains where the grade requires it.
April through November. The ground needs to thaw for proper base compaction. We book the spring season starting in December — early planners get priority dates.
